Most of my pages have been successfully moved off of N2H2 servers to their new home. If your link/favorite/bookmark took you to a Web address at
http://l2g.to, please update it so you can continue linking to it. (See the December 6 notice below for the reason for this, if you haven’t read it yet.)
Here’s a quick breakdown of what’s been moved:
- Rumor Control is now at:
- My office page and most everything else under it is now at:
- Alternative Microsoft Support is now at:
- The Unofficial, Unnecessary Negativland Page is now at:
The SpEnt Rotulus (the official home page of SpEnt fiXer) is not likely to be revived anytime soon. Instead, there is now a SpEnt fiXer page at MP3.com. (Merry Christmas, Terry!)
“What’s Larry Listening To?” is, alas, impractical to move at this time because it was designed to be run on the same computer as the one that plays my CDs for me. I may find a way around that someday if I get bored. I’ll have a link on my home page if and when I do that.
If you think I’ve missed anything, let me know.
On December 29, 2000, N2H2 is eliminating personal World Wide Web space for its staff. Everything I have maintained under the URLs is affected by this.
I have suggested to the MIS department that we leave a dedicated and quasi-permanent Web server running to forward requests for content that is being moved out. Although I am told they think this is an excellent idea, I do not know of any current plans of theirs to actually do this. So if you are linking to any content of mine and you wish to continue to do so, it is important that you check back here over the next few weeks to stay informed of my move and to find out where all of my content will ultimately end up.
I am currently in the process of obtaining Web space under my own domain name. Once I do, I will be moving my content there, where it will hopefully remain indefinitely. I will post a prominent notice when this is done, so you can make sure to update your links and bookmarks one last time.
I am also starting to weed out material that I think has outlived its value. Currently, the only thing I definitely plan to keep around is Rumor Control. If there is any other material here that you appreciate, please e-mail me and let me know. I reserve the right to remove anything else.
Thanks for taking the time to read my personal Web content.
